The Shiva Vishnu Temple has announced its upcoming observance of Swarna Gowri Vratam, also widely recognized as Hartalika Teej Vrat, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026. Dedicated to Goddess Parvati, this sacred vrat is traditionally observed by both married and unmarried women who seek the deity’s blessings for happiness, prosperity, and a blissful marital life, as the Goddess is believed to descend to earth to answer sincere prayers. Notably, this year’s Gowri Vratam day also marks the culmination of the 21-day Ganesha abhishekam, seamlessly leading directly into the celebrations for Ganesh Chaturthi.
Detailed Event Schedule and Rituals:
The evening’s spiritual program is structured to provide devotees with an immersive and devotional experience:
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM: Ganapathi prarthana, Vratha Sankalpam, Lalitha Sahasra nama archana, Gouri astotharam, and the traditional reading of the Vratha story.
7:30 PM onwards: Sacred Aarathi followed by the distribution of Theertha Prasadam.
