Kannada superstar Yash recently opened up about the much-discussed box-office clash between his upcoming movie Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Initially locked for a March 19, 2026 release alongside Dhurandhar 2, Toxic was subsequently moved to June 4 amid Middle East uncertainties before facing another delay. During an appearance on the talk show Aap Ki Adalat, Yash clarified that he has never intentionally initiated a clash, noting that his release dates are typically announced well in advance.
Financial Stakes and Personal Philosophy:
Addressing speculations regarding the financial pressures of rescheduling such a high-profile project, Yash emphasized that money is not his primary driving factor. He stated that financial setbacks or losing Rs 100 to Rs 200 crore do not intimidate him, reflecting on his journey by stating that whatever he has achieved now is a bonus.
Commitment to Quality and Self-Respect:
According to the KGF star, his ultimate priority is honoring the promises made to his audience and ensuring the quality of the final product. He described the decision to move Toxic away from a contentious release window as a matter of self-respect rather than ego. While Dhurandhar and its sequel went on to achieve massive global success, Yash remains steadfast in protecting his film’s integrity, with a fresh release date for Toxic expected to be announced soon.
