The $500,000 funding allocation is channeled through the State Department’s global award with Catholic Relief Services. These resources will directly support impacted communities by providing emergency shelter, distributing relief supplies, and delivering critical water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) assistance. Concurrently, the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu is actively collaborating with local authorities to track down and assist American citizens situated in the disaster zones, while U.S. nationals in the region are strongly advised to track local news broadcasts and adhere strictly to directives issued by local officials.
