HYDERABAD — Questions have emerged in Film Nagar regarding Mahesh Babu’s decision not to attend the pre-release event for Srinivasa Mangapuram, which marks the acting debut of his nephew, Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni (son of the late Ramesh Babu). Instead of making a personal appearance, Mahesh Babu issued a recorded video message requesting fans to support the upcoming release.
Initial reports suggested that director S.S. Rajamouli’s team had restricted the actor from public appearances ahead of their upcoming project, Varanasi. However, representatives from Rajamouli’s team clarified that no such restrictions were placed on the actor, noting that supporting a family member’s debut would not pose an issue.
The actor’s absence has drawn attention, particularly as he remains present in Hyderabad and continues to fulfill commitments for commercial advertisements. While industry insiders maintain that Mahesh Babu shares a warm relationship with his late brother’s family, the decision to convey wishes via video rather than attending in person has sparked discussion among fans and industry observers.
