Asian Cinemas is reportedly teaming up with Megastar Chiranjeevi for a major cinema venture located in Hyderabad’s Financial District. Following similar collaborations with actors like Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, and Allu Arjun, this new project aims to feature what is being touted as one of the world’s largest operating cinema screens.
As Hyderabad continues to grow as a primary cinema hub in India, the upcoming high-end venture is designed to provide advanced projection technology, luxury seating, and high-end amenities. While the official title is yet to be confirmed, the theater chain could potentially be branded as Asian Chiranjeevi Cinemas (ACC) or Asian Megastar Cinemas (AMC).
The current benchmark is held by the Traumpalast Leonberg in Germany, which features a Guinness World Record-holding permanent IMAX screen measuring approximately 127 feet wide and 69 feet tall (covering roughly 8,770 square feet) with 574 recliner seats and dual-laser projection. If realized according to reports, the Hyderabad project could challenge this global milestone. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Chiranjeevi’s upcoming projects include Kaaka and Vishwambhara, alongside an anticipated collaboration with director Srikanth Odela.
