A formal criminal case has been registered against popular playback singer and reality television winner Rahul Sipligunj alongside several others in Visakhapatnam, following a serious complaint lodged by a local woman. The legal proceedings stem from allegations of cheating, emotional harassment, and criminal intimidation.
Allegations Against the Accused:
According to the complaint filed by the victim, the trouble began with Rahul Sipligunj’s relative/brother-in-law, Karpurapu Rahul Reddy, who allegedly deceived her under the false pretext of marriage. The woman claimed that when she pressed for commitment, Reddy turned to blackmail, threatening to leak her private photographs and personal videos online. Furthermore, the complaint explicitly accuses singer Rahul Sipligunj of intervening in the matter to intimidate the victim, alleging that he applied pressure and forced her to record and release specific video statements under duress.
Transfer of Investigation:
The legal process was initially initiated at the MVP Colony Police Station. Given the sensitivity and nature of the harassment and cyber-related allegations, authorities subsequently transferred the case file to the Endada Women Police Station for a comprehensive and thorough inquiry.
