Suriya stars as Sanjay Vishwanath, a wealthy businessman in his 40s who is happily single, marriage-averse, and an Olympic medal winner in pistol shooting. His mother, Nirmala Devi (Radhika Sarathkumar), constantly attempts to set him up with eligible women so the family can have an heir to carry on their legacy—a pressure that intensifies following her emotional heart surgery.
After interacting with an eligible doctor living in San Francisco, Sanjay surprises the world a year later by landing at the Chennai airport with a baby boy named Abhay. When Abhay falls ill, 22-year-old Maddy Jay (Mamitha Baiju) enters the narrative, unraveling the dynamics behind Sanjay’s aversion to marriage, alongside connections involving Anjali (Raveena Tandon).
