The controversial poster was discovered pinned to a wall in a common area of the station by department commanders during a recent visit. The display featured photographs of several female firefighters and one male firefighter, all of whom were currently on leave. Headlined with the words “STRESS…IT’S AN EPIDEMIC!” and captioned “Station 8 INVESTIGATES,” the poster targeted specific individuals. It included an altered image of a state hospital sign reading “CRIMINALLY INSANE” pointing toward one firefighter, while mocking another for an allergy to protective turnout gear.

Fire Chief Dean Crispin strongly condemned the material during a meeting with a group of female firefighters, labeling the poster “inappropriate and derogatory”.
