The San Jose Police Department (SJPD) is inviting community members to register for its upcoming Community Partnership Academy, a free ten-week program running from September 30, 2026, to December 16, 2026. Held on Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the initiative is designed to foster open dialogue, build strong partnerships, and strengthen trust between law enforcement and the diverse communities of San Jose.
Participants will gain an in-depth look into the training and responsibilities of police officers through a curriculum covering department and substation tours, an overview of the SJPD Police Academy, use-of-force scenarios, homicide and robbery investigations, and special operations unit demonstrations.
