The Hindu Community and Cultural Center (HCCC) has announced its upcoming extended celebrations for Ganesha Chathurthi, scheduled to take place from Monday, August 24th to Saturday, September 19th, 2026, at the Shiva-Vishnu Temple in Livermore, California. Celebrating Lord Ganesha the beloved son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati the festival honors the deity widely worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune, who is believed to grace the earth for his devotees throughout this sacred period. In the lead-up to Ganesha Chathurthi, the temple will perform the Ganapathi Atharva Sheersha Abhishekam daily for 21 days, culminating in major festivities featuring the Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vratam, Sahasra Modaka Homa, and Mooshaka Vahana Seva. Families and friends are warmly invited to participate in all events and receive divine blessings.
