Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy strongly criticized the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for denying him permission to visit the United States, calling the decision an insult to the state’s self-respect and the four crore people of Telangana.
Speaking at a press conference in Hyderabad following his return from a three-day trip to the UK, Reddy questioned why the central government permitted the Gujarat Chief Minister to travel internationally while blocking his delegation. He alleged that the denial was politically motivated and driven by preferential treatment toward BJP-run states.

Purpose of the Tour: Reddy stated that the US visit was intended to attract investments and secure memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Harvard University and other institutions to support education, sports, and upliftment programs for Dalits, Adivasis, and Bahujan students.
Allegations of Bias: Comparing his denied trip to international visits undertaken by leaders from other states, he accused the Centre of attempting to curb Telangana’s growth and economic progress.
