PLEASANTON, CA — The Association of Indo Americans (AIA), in partnership with Bolly 92.3 FM, has officially announced the return of the Dussehra Diwali Dhamaka – Festival of Lights. The grand celebration is set to take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, California.
Recognized as one of Northern California’s largest festive gatherings, the event will highlight a signature 40-foot Raavan Dehan effigy burning alongside a spectacular live fireworks show to mark the occasion.
Event Highlights & Key Attractions:
Religious & Cultural Ceremonies: Features a Maha Mangal Aarti, Rath Yatra, Ram Leela performances, and a traditional Karwa Chauth segment.
Music & Dance: Open-floor Disco Dandiya alongside stage cultural programs and Bollywood entertainment.
Family & Community Activities: The Great Indian Food Festival, festival shopping bazaars, carnival rides, and competitions including Rangoli, Chess, Carroms, and Tambola.
Community Services: A Free Health Fair organized in collaboration with the South Asian Heart Center.
