SAN JOSE, CA — The Association of Indo Americans (AIA) and Bolly 92.3 FM, in partnership with the San Jose Downtown Association, the City of San Jose, Mayor Matt Mahan, and ParkSJ, have announced the Diwali Carnival: Festival of Lights. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM in Downtown San Jose (Plaza de Cesar Chavez).
Marking the first time a large-scale Diwali celebration is taking place under the stars in Downtown San Jose, entry to the carnival is free, though advance online registration is required.

Entertainment & Performances: Live Bollywood dance showcases, music performances, and active DJ dance floors.
Food & Culinary Offerings: Dedicated food stalls including “Diwali Bites,” a Chai Bar, Dessert Zone, Jalebi Station, Street Chaat Corner, Dosa Delights, and Biryani offerings.
Free Giveaway Amenities: Complimentary henna tattoos and free glowsticks distributed to the first 2,000 registered attendees.
Family & Festive Zones: Dedicated Kids Zone, a festival clothing and jewelry bazaar, and shopping exhibitions.
