The Sujnana Religious & Charitable Foundation has cordially invited devotees and their families to participate in the upcoming Rigveda Upakarma 2026 ceremony. The sacred event will be hosted at the Shri Krishna Vrundavana Temple located at 43 Sunol Street, San Jose, CA 95126.
Event Schedule and Program Details:
The program is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 06:00 AM to 08:00 AM. The schedule of rituals includes:
06:00 AM: Panchagavya, Punyahavachana
07:00 AM: Guru Ganesha Pooja, Upakarma Homam
07:30 AM: Saptha Rishi & Vedavyasa Pooja, Yajnopavita Dharanam
08:00 AM: Brahma Yajna, Deva-Rishiyadi Tarpana, Veda Arambha, Dana, Dakshina, Poornahuthi & Mangalarathi
08:00 AM onwards: Theertha Prasadam (Light Breakfast will be served)
Guidelines, Dress Code, and Required Items:
Dress Code: Strict adherence to traditional attire is mandatory. Dhoti & Shawl are compulsory for all participants.
Special Note: Noothana Brahmacharis who recently underwent Upanayana must arrive by 06:00 AM accompanied by their parents.
Items to Bring: Participants are requested to bring Fruits, Flowers, Coins, Milk, Two Coconuts, and Sandhya Vandana Items (Cup & Spoon).
