SAN JOSE, CA — The Association of Indo Americans (AIA) has officially issued a media invitation for AIA SWADES 2026, Silicon Valley’s premier India Day celebration. Scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Plaza de Cesar Chavez in Downtown San Jose, the event commemorates both the United States’ 250th Independence Anniversary and India’s 80th Independence Day.
The landmark event expects thousands of attendees from across the Bay Area for a day focused on culture, heritage, unity, and community spirit.

Event Timings: Day & Night Mela (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM), India Day Parade (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM), and the Flag Raising Ceremony (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM).

Special Guests: Acclaimed Indian actress Taapsee Pannu will serve as the Honorable Guest and Grand Marshal.
