1. Rigveda & Yajurveda Upakarma (Avani Avittam) 2026
Devotees are invited to participate in the sacred Upakarma rituals:
Rigveda Upakarma: Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
Yajurveda Upakarma: Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
Dress Code: Strict Dothi & Shawl dress code applies to all participants.
Items to Bring: Fruits, flowers, coins, milk, two coconuts, and Sandhya Vandana items (cup & spoon).

2. Lunar Eclipse / Chandra Grahana
Date & Time: Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 7:40 PM to 10:51 PM (California time).
Upavaasa (Fasting): Devotees should observe fasting starting from 11:40 AM.
Affected Nakshatras & Raashis: Special prayers/parihaaras are recommended for those born under Shathabhisha, Kumbha, Krithika, Aardra, Uttara Phaluni (Uttaram), Swathi, Dhanishta, Purvabadra, Uttarashada (Uttaradam), Meena, Karkataka, and Kanya Raashis.
3. Sri Guru Raghavendra Swami’s 355th Aradhana Mahotsava
Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Morning Program: Commences at 8:00 AM with Maha Sankalpa, Mahaganapathi Homa, Panchamrutha Maha Abhisheka, Vayustuthi chanting, Paada Pooja, and finishes with Maha Mangalarathi and Theertha Prasadam at 12:00 PM.
Evening Program: Begins at 5:00 PM with cultural programs, Ranga Pooja, Deepaaradhana, Rathotsava, Pallaki Uthsava, Ashtavadhana, Sangeetha & Nrutya sevas, concluding with Theertha Prasadam at 8:30 PM.
Parking Notice: Dedicated parking will be available on Saturday, August 29, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Herbert Hoover Middle School (1635 Park Ave, San Jose, CA 95126).
