The 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity Good News Bears, which provides comfort items to children and families facing crises, is urgently seeking donated or low-cost storage space. The organization is slated to lose its current location on December 31, 2026. Since the pandemic, the charity has continued to collect, sort, and distribute stuffed animals through first responders, medical facilities, and social services.
To sustain operations, the group is asking local community partners, property owners, and businesses in the Livermore or Pleasanton areas for assistance. The organization requires at least 400 square feet of clean, dry space equipped with evening and weekend access to accommodate volunteer sorting sessions. Granada High School Class of 1976 50-Year Reunion:
The Granada High School Class of 1976 in Livermore is preparing to celebrate its 50-year reunion across September 25 and 26. Festivities begin on Friday, September 25, with an Alumni BBQ at the GHS campus Alumni Plaza starting at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity football game and an evening pop-up gathering in downtown Livermore.
The Saturday schedule features a group photo at the main campus entrance at 10 a.m., followed by a campus tour. The main evening celebration will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Azotea Cocina and Cocktail Roof Top Bar in downtown Livermore, featuring a buffet dinner and photo booth area. Group lodging discounts have also been organized at the Hilton Garden Inn.
