The high-budget cinematic venture Raaka, starring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee, is reportedly facing yet another delay. Mounted on a massive scale with extensive secrecy measures including a major set erected in Mumbai the film’s vast canvas is requiring the production team more time than initially anticipated for both shooting and post-production work. Although Allu Arjun originally planned for a 2026 release, the timeline was previously shifted to December 2027 to align with the release window of the Pushpa franchise. Current reports now indicate a further delay to early 2028, as the extensive post-production phase is projected to require nearly a year.
Schedule and Simultaneous Projects:
Allu Arjun is reportedly comfortable with the extended timeline and is scheduled to begin his upcoming project with director Lokesh Kanagaraj shortly, which is expected to keep him occupied throughout 2027. While he transitions to the Lokesh Kanagaraj film, shooting for Raaka is slated for completion, allowing the rigorous post-production work to continue concurrently. If these latest updates hold true, Raaka will officially shift from its tentative December 2027 release slot to early 2028.
